Welcome to the Merton Village Website

Merton is recorded in The Domesday Book although back in 1086 the village was known as Meretone.

Merton is a small parish village on the edge of Otmoor and near the river Ray in Oxfordshire. By road, we are approximately 4.8 miles (7.7 km) south from Bicester and 11.4 miles (18.4 km) northwest of Oxford city centre.

The village is very close to Otmoor's RSPB Nature Reserve which is a wonderful place to get a little closer to nature.

There is no longer a village pub but we do have the annual Merton Winter Beer Festival.
